Rep. Ken Summers was first elected to the Colorado House in 2006. He serves on the House Finance Committee and the House Education Committee.

In addition he is a member of the Governor’s Interagency Council for Homelessness and the Economic Opportunity and Poverty Reduction Task Force. Rep. Summers is also the Executive Director of Teen Challenge of the Rocky Mountains, a drug and alcohol recovery program.

He brings to his position over 30 years of organizational leadership experience. This includes service on a local school board, special district board and credit union board of directors. As a pastor for 28 years he is well acquainted with the daily challenges faced by people from all walks of life.

He believes that government should serve citizens through protecting freedoms, maximizing efficiencies, providing pathways to prosperity for individuals and businesses and setting priorities that address the most pressing needs of our state.
